GROUP FITNESS

Our Group Fitness Timetable offers over 40 classes per week from Yoga, Mat Pilates, Power Spin, X-Fit and Les Mills Body Balance and Dance. All classes are instructed by our highly trained and dedicated team and are included in your membership.

GROUP FITNESS CLASSES & DESCRIPTIONS

ATTACK/ABT

Just like Body Attack only with some focused energy. This 1 hour class has been design specifically for those members that are looking get a strength and stamina workouts with a huge focus on the Abs, Butts and Thighs.

BODY ATTACK

This sports inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamia. This high energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises.

PILATES

Pilates improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the entire body. It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance.

POWER SPIN

Invigorating music and visualisation come together to make Spinning classes both fun and effective. Regardless of how fit, flexible or coordinated you are, you’ll get a great workout. Simply hop on your bike, set the resistance to the level that’s right for you, and let your instructor guide you through an incredible ride. A 45 minute Power session.

SPIN 'N' RUN

Wanting to add some running to your SPINNING workout? Then this class is made for you! You have the choice of staying on your bike for the entire class or add some running intervals to your routine.

X-FIT

Back to basics!. This class utilises body weight exercises, dumbbells and bars in a circuit to burn through the Calories. During Summer months Saturday’s XFIT heads ‘OUTDOORS’ to Clarko Reserve. Check with the club to confirm.

YIN YOGA

Perfect for anyone with tightness in their body. This is a restorative practice that helps us heal both our body and our mind. Yin yoga increases flexibility, fosters self-love and melts away stress.

HATHA YOGA

Benefits the mind, body and spirit. We begin with Pranayam (breath meditation) to connect to the breath, arrive to the new, and quieten the chatter of mind. Flowing into Asana (postures) to help tone and release the tightness of sore muscles by lengthening and strengthening the whole body as we tune within and celebrate the wonderful temple of our mind, body and spirit. Our practice ends in a relaxation to absorb the benefits of the amazing Prana (energy) we have cultivated in a sweet Savasana.

BODY BALANCE

This is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centred and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches and poses to music create a holistic workout.

POWER BAR

This is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 60 minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls.

DANCE

45 minutes long and featuring simple but seriously hot dance moves. This class is the perfect way to shape up and let out your inner star –  even if dance isn’t your natural thing. Dance is the ultimate fun and sociable way to exercise.

STEP MOVES

This is an energising intermediate class that makes you feel liberated and alive. Using a height-adjustable step and simple movements on, over and around the step, you get huge motivation from approachable instructors.

TOTAL TONE

A fully body workout to tone and shape. This class is a mix up of cardiovascular and muscle endurance. Great for all levels of fitness.

VINYASA FLOW YOGA

A dynamic combination of breath with movement flowing between postures creating heat throughout the body. Flowing to a peak and coming full circle, allowing a great mind-body connection.

KIDS PROGRAMS

TWEEN FIT

A 45 minute ‘HIIT’ (high intensity interval  training) session incorporating straps to assist with coordination, body weight as resistance and core work to develop a strong base. Main focus for tweens: movement + fitness = fun. Runs during school term only, Monday 4.30-5.15pm.
Suitable for ages 10 – 15 years.

As a first timer joining any gym, I never thought I would enjoy going so much! Being surrounded by friends in the group classes. I can’t stop laughing and smiling with the instructor Loots, as her dancing and commentary throughout the work outs make it all the more fun! I’ve been a member of the North Beach gym since arriving in Perth 15 years ago and the Peak Body team have made the gym a fun and friendly place to workout.
I’m a group fitness fanatic and do 5 classes a week and 2 yoga sessions to enhance the stretching that everyone needs! I especially enjoy Lutz’s Body Attack class and Jadie’s XFIT who is extremely motivating and the best personal trainer.
My personal fitness results have come from a variety of classes not just working out in the same way each day, mix it up!

What I love about Peak Body is the great class schedule they offer, with a wide range of classes on everyday. The class instructors are motivating and have helped me to reach my fitness goals by pushing me to my potential in every class workout. Lutz who is one of the class instructors has changed my outlook on exercise completely- it is no longer a ‘chore’ but something I love doing. Lutz’s upbeat, friendly and encouraging nature means I always leave the gym feeling energised for the rest of the day. Group training has meant I have made friends at the gym, where our fitness community help to inspire each other to work even harder. Body pump has made me more toned and defined, while body attack has ensured my cardio fitness, health and wellbeing is maintained. I love being apart of the Peak Body family.
